Aussie rock outfit The Vines have gone MIA since the release of 2008's Melodia. They are currently working on there next studio album which should be released sometime in 2010.
No one was expecting to see a live performance by the band until next year, but The Vines surprised everyone by being the support act for You Am I on Saturday night in Sydney. The band was billed as The Crimes so as to avoid media attention.
The Vines front man Craig Nicholls has always had a reputation for being wild & erratic but one reviewer of the showed commented: "Gone were the erratic tantrums & unpredictability from the frontman. The signs were still there but he appeared relaxed & enjoying clearing out the cobwebs."
